Every once in a while, it’s nice to take a break from the whole homeschooling/ mom thing and enjoy a date with my husband. I am SO excited that there is a great opportunity to do just that coming up next weekend.
Did you know Indiana has EIGHTY wineries? And that they produce over 1.25 MILLION gallons of wine? Wow! With the amount of great wine coming out of the Hoosier State, it only seems fitting to take day to celebrate it. Vintage Indiana does just that.
Now in its sixteenth year, Vintage Indiana is a festival that celebrates local wine, food, and music. Over three hundred wines will be available to sample from thirty of our state’s finest wineries. Grab some food from some of the local restaurants that will be on site, and listen to some of the best local artists around: Zanna-Do at 12:30, Living Proof at 2:15, and Jennie DeVoe at 4:00! I am telling you, this day is going to be SO FUN.
This is a grown-up only event (no one under 21), so call the babysitter and come enjoy a mom’s day out, a date with your sweetheart, or an escape from everyone.
Vintage Indiana takes place on June 6, 2015, at Military Park downtown. The festival takes place from 12:00 – 6:00, or you can purchase an early admission ticket that will allow you in at 11:00! The early admission ticket is $50 and includes not just an extra hour to check everything out, but also a souvenir VIP wine glass, lanyard, and more. General admission is $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. There is also a Designated Driver ticket for only $10 that includes unlimited soda and water, but no wine samples. You can buy your advance tickets at Marsh stores or online.
