The Center for Performing Arts’ Palladium in Carmel is one of my favorite places. It is such a beautiful building, and I just feel happy sitting in there and taking it all in. The shows are always wonderful, especially the concerts given by the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. And one of my favorite things about this place is how strongly they feel about introducing children to the arts. Children are always welcome at the shows, and in addition to plenty of family-friendly programming throughout the year, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra gives us the Family Fun! concert that is specifically designed with children in mind.
At the Family Fun! concert, children are invited onto the stage to sit next to their favorite instrument and get a REAL in-depth experience. The orchestra will play selections from classic pieces as well as childhood favorites. And after the concert, there will be an instrument petting zoo, where kids will have the opportunity to touch (and maybe play) the instruments they’ve just seen played.
This is such a great opportunity for kids, and the best part? It’s affordable! Children’s tickets are only $5 each, parents are $20.
The Family Fun! concert takes place Sunday, March 26, at 3:00. You can find out more and purchase tickets now on their website.
