It is a good week for books!
Tomorrow (Wednesday) through Friday is the Scholastic Warehouse Sale from 11:00- 7:00. Sign up in advance for your coupon!
This weekend is the Indianapolis Library’s book sale! Friday night from 5:30- 7:30 is Friends Night so if you’re a Friend of the Library you get a sneak preview of all the good stuff. If you’re not already a Friend you can join there. Then Saturday and Sunday the sale is open to everyone. Saturday hours are 10:00- 5:00 and Sunday is 12:00 – 4:00.
Anderson Public Library also hosts a book sale on the second Friday and Saturday of each month, which is this weekend. Visit the third floor of their main library from 12- 4:30.
I am a huge book lover, both for myself and the kids, and I cannot resist a good deal on books. The boys love the Scholastic sales. I’m not sure if it’s because the books are new or because they get to wander around a warehouse. Or what’s more likely, because I’m such a fan of the library sales. I can sit in front of one shelf for half an hour searching for treasures. And there are a lot of shelves! This means I can make an entire day out of one library book sale. It’s possible that drives my children bonkers. They love books, but there’s only so much they can take.
What is your favorite place to find books? Also, what do you do with all your books? Donate? Sell? Collect? Personally I just keep buying more bookshelves, but I know one of these days I will have to purge. I’m running out of room!
