The Indianapolis Museum of Art is offering another great homeschool experience for us! You guys were so responsive during their first try last spring, they will be working to create more programs for us in the future. Here’s what’s going on in September:
Homeschool Day will take place on Tuesday, September 9 from 11-2. The cost will be $8 for the entire family ($5 for IMA members), and you will pay on the day of when you check in. There are five different activities to choose from, you can choose as many as you can make work. You need to register by August 15. Registration info is available on the site.
The five planned activities include:
Stories of a Wise Fool: This is GREAT! We had a chance to pilot this program and it is awesome. Kids will learn the story of Hodja and his fancy coat. This involves acting out the story, a craft, and a scavenger hunt through the galleries.
STEAM Studio: Integrating Art into the now-traditional STEM initiative, students will have the chance to learn about minerals and how artists have used them throughout the years.
Wild Play: A facilitated play time in 100 Acres!
Art Book Station: The IMCPL will host a tinker station featuring art books and technology.
Tour the Galleries: Docent-led tours will be available throughout the museum.
Hello,
The link to register for the Sept. 9th IMA day is not a working. I'd really like to sign up for that.
Thank you,
Jamie Roth
