The Wilbur Wright Birthplace and Museum is hosting their annual home school day on September 24! This event starts at 9:00 a.m. with the last registration at 3:00 p.m. (they will be open until 5:00 for those already there). With at least fifteen exhibits and hands-on activities, plan for at least two hours there, but guests are invited to stay as long as they’d like. You can see everything from butter making to weaving to a National Guard Helicopter! There will also be demonstrations on knife making, jewelry making, spinning, and basket weaving. Really, something for everyone!
The cost for this event is $2 for kids, $3 for adults, or $10 for a family (mother, father, and all children). You’ll probably want to pack a lunch as there aren’t any options for purchase close by. To ensure you don’t have to wait too long for your tour, please register on their website with the time you’d like.
The Wilbur Wright Birthplace and Museum is located at 1525 N. 750 E., in Hagerstown, IN.
