Oh I am a sucker for a good pun. So last night when I was driving and heard a commercial for “Marsh Madness,” I had to immediately turn up the radio and take mental notes.
Marsh Madness Sandhill Crane Festival takes place March 6 and 7 at Goose Pond in Linton, IN. This is about two hours southwest of Indianapolis. Friday, the 6th, will be a fundraiser banquet and silent auction, with tickets available for $25.
On Saturday, March 7, take advantage of a full day of learning at Goose Pond. There will be crafts and other hands-on activities for kids (including owl pellet dissection!), live animal displays, self guided driving tours and bus tours of the area, and, of course, try to spot some Sandhill Cranes. There is SO MUCH going on, you just have to check it out for yourself. The cost is $5 per person, or only $15 for a family of four (kids 3 and under are free). Find out everything on the Friends of Goose Pond website.
